My name is Victoria, and I am 15 years old. Animals are a big part of my life, and I love visiting Roger Williams Park Zoo. Attached are a few pictures of Johei the Giant Anteater that I wanted to send.

This year I've been doing some photography at local zoos and have visited Franklin Park, Southwick and Stone Zoo. I've also been to the San Diego Zoo, but yours is easily one of the best. Your location is rich with beauty of not just the animals, but also the plants, flowers, water... in fact, everywhere I looked!

We attended the July 27th member morning and had a great time. We were lucky enough to be at the giraffe area when the 2 day old baby giraffe made its appearance for the first time. I have enclosed a photo (which we think is pretty awesome) of the "Mom" greeting her little one with a jealous Mtembei getting in on the action.

We recently had our daughter Olivia’s 3rd birthday party at Roger Williams Park Zoo.  We are still receiving calls and thank you letters from other parents and children that attended the party!  The space we rented (Marco Polo) looked amazing, and was complimented with great food and excellent service.  The birthday ambassadors were great, and kept the children entertained with unique games and fun activities.  The zoo staff took care of all the planning, from the invitations to the complimentary maps of the zoo at the conclusion of the event.  I would highly recommend letting the zoo host your child’s next party.  It was definitely Olivia’s best party yet!

We visited RW Zoo this past Sat. (7/7/7) and had a great time.  My daughter Emmerson met a very nice docent (Roger Williams Park Zoo's volunteer educator) in the farmyard.
Also, we my son Bryson had such a good time he was tuckered out by the time we left!  What a great ad wearing that hat!  :) Thanks!

Being a photojournalist, The Roger Williams Park Zoo is the place to be and to explore and to learn so much about nature and about wild animals. You will be amazed as soon as you enter the front entrance how much you will be able to see but plan on spending some time; like exploring and the Plains Of  Africa is my favorite where you may feel that you are on indeed in Africa and please bring along the camera and maybe a tripod but what ever we bring we must carry it for the stay but you will enjoy this Safari and fun for all ages with friendly staff who must have a liking first for the animals then enjoy working with the visitors and I found all of my contact with the staff very polite and helpful. If you are not a member then you should join this third oldest zoo in the US.

I am a proud member of this caring Zoo who really do take care of all who live and visit here.

Thank goodness for the Nor 'Easter this year, otherwise I would have never gotten to visit the Zoo.  It may have been wet and windy, but I totally enjoyed my visit.  I had never seen a pregnant giraffe before, nor have I ever been that close to a giraffe.  I was sopping wet after my visit, but I was fully happy I had gotten stuck for an extra couple days due to the weather.  Thank you for such an enjoyable time, and the gal in the gift shop was just outstanding.

Sincerely,
Jane Stevens

Dear Roger Williams Park Zoo,

Thank you for letting us go to the Zoo. I really liked the animals. I love animals, mom keeps saying I am going to be a veterinarian. I really liked the elephant and the penguin. I got a stuffed one! I also liked the lizards and sort of the camel. One thing I loved the giraffe, the seal, the kangaroo and the turtle.

From,
Frankie

I just received word that my family and I are the winners of the zoo's giraffe naming contest. I am so excited about the Giraffe being named Mtembei.  My husband works 2nd shift and my son is sleeping so they are not aware of this yet.  I cannot wait to tell them both in the morning!!!  They are going to be so excited as well!!!!!  I just can't believe it!!!!

We love spending time at the zoo.  We were at the zoo on 6/3/07 and we all had such a great time.  We spent a great deal of time at the Giraffe exhibit (and the elephants exhibit too since they are my favorite animal).  Mtembei is so beautiful and his mother was so attentive.  You really can not comprehend how big they are until you see them up close.  My son kept saying that they were so big.   It was and always is such a great way to spend time as a family and to get out of the house and away from the television and to have fun learning and seeing all of the animals.   I look forward and I know my family will also look forward to going there again, this coming weekend.

The zoo just made our family very happy!!!
