PLEASE READ PRIOR TO BEGINNING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS

  • If you have not already done so, please enter or update your account information (also termed "pre-registration"), at the same time that you register for Camp. It is required that this information be completed by February 1st in order for your child to attend Winter Camp, March 1st in order for your child to attend Spring Camp, and May 1st in order for your child to attend Summer Adventures, Tadpole Academy, or Zoo Camp On The Move. We reserve the right to cancel your registration if your information is not completed.

  • Once you click the registration button, you will come to a new "waiting room" screen, which will give you the APPROXIMATE wait time until you can begin your registration. DO NOT HIT THE "REFRESH" OR "BACK" BUTTONS, OR CLOSE YOUR BROWSER once you get to this page, or you will lose your place in line. The approximate wait time listed will not change or "count down" as time goes by; this is normal, and does not mean you are "stuck" in the system.

ZooCamp 2008
Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: When can I register for ZooCamp?
A:  Online registration will open for all camps at 9 a.m. on Saturday, January 26th at www.rogerwilliamsparkzoo.org/zoocamp.cfm

Q:  What if I don’t have access to a computer?
A:  You are strongly urged to use the online method to register for camp as it will give you immediate knowledge of registration status and the greatest likelihood of getting the weeks you desire.
However, there will be a minimal amount of slots held for mail-in registrations.  These slots will be filled by random drawing after January 26th.  Confirmation letters will be mailed; no confirmations will be given over the phone for the mail-ins. Click here for mail-in registration form.
**Any registrations brought in before January 26th will be processed with mail-ins.

Q:  What do I need to register online?
A:  You will need a credit card and an email address to make full payment through verisign, as well as to receive confirmation and important information about camp.  Please have all your contact information and membership (or confirmation) number on hand.

Q:  Is there a maximum number of registrations per person?
A:  There is no maximum number of registrations per person; however it is highly recommended that you do not try to register more than a few children at a time as you run the risk of not getting all of them into the same week. It is also suggested to register for ZCOTM or Tadpole Academy first as they have a more limited number of spots.

Q:  Can I register someone else’s child?
A:  We advise against this! If you add another child to your registration, you will be listed as the child’s parent (there is NO way to change this)!  You will then be responsible for all medical and personal information and you will receive all mailings.

Q:  Can I pay a deposit to hold camp spots?
A:  No, you must pay in full at the time of your registration.

Q:  What if the week I want is full?
A:  Should the week you want be full, please MAIL-IN a registration form (print from online link or request via phone) WITHOUT payment to be added to the waitlist.  You will be contacted should a space open.

Q:  Who makes up the ZooCamp Staff?
A:  The ZooCamp staff consists of counselors of college age or older, assisted by counselors-in-training ages 14-17. ZooCamp staff is under the supervision of the Camp Director, Tara Padula. To ensure high quality supervision, the camper-to-staff ratio is 6:1 or better. ZooCamp on the Move is supervised and lead by Early Childhood Coordinator/ZCOTM Camp Director, Chris Hitchener. Camper-to-staff ratio for this camp is 5:1or better.

Q:  What if I need to pick up my child late?
A:  ZooCamp offers after camp care to meet the needs of working parents at a cost of $10/day per child. “Extended Day” is available from the time camp ends until 5:00pm.
**Parents need to let the camp staff know at check-in that their child will be staying.

Q:  Can I get my money back if I change my mind between registration time and the actual camp dates?
A:  Complete refunds minus a $25.00 processing fee will be given up to February 5, 2008 for Winter Camp, April 1, 2008 for Spring Camp, and June 1, 2008 for Summer Adventures, Tadpole Academy, Natural Navigators, Family Camp and Edventurous Travels.  Absolutely no refunds after those dates.

Q:  What if I experience technical difficulties during my online registration?
A:  Should you have problems or questions about the online registration process you may call the Camp Director at 401-785-3510 ext. 352.  Thank you in advance for your patience with this system; it is our goal to make your ZooCamp registration experience as easy as possible.
