ICE SAFARI DAYS
Join us for a little extra "icy" summer fun - July 23, August 7 & 20!

Come watch as professional carvers from Art in Ice create wildlife-inspired ice sculptures, right before your eyes! 

Zookeepers will then fill the sculptures with favorite food treats and give them to select animals as their enrichment for the day, providing yet another novel sight for you to see as the animals partake in their special summer treat. 

Thursday, July 23
Moon Bears

- Ice carving demonstration will be held near the Moon bear exhibit from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- The ice sculpture treat will be given to the bears at 2:30 p.m.

Friday, August 7
Wild dogs

- Ice carving demonstration will be held near the Wild dog exhibit from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
- The ice sculpture treat will be given to the dogs at 1:30 p.m.

PLUS -
The national "got milk?" Milk Mustache Mobile Drink Well, Live Well Tour comes to the Zoo!

From 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.:
  •  Experience the “Wellness Oasis” and get tips on how to       achieve wellness and balance in your life
  •  Sample lowfat and fat free milk from Providence area processors
  •  Relax with free five-minute chair massages by a licensed massage therapist
  •  Receive free health screenings from a registered dietitian
  •  Enjoy freshly made Soothie Smoothies
  •  Pose for a celebrity-inspired Milk Mustache souvenir photo
  •  Learn more about the health benefits of milk with a giant, six foot glass visual

Thursday, August 20
Gibbons

- Ice carving demonstration will be held near the Gibbon exhibit from 9 to 11 a.m.
- The ice sculpture treat will be given to the Gibbons at 11:30 a.m.
