Valentine’s Family Zoo Bingo Party

Share the love of family fun at Roger Williams Park Zoo’s Valentine inspired Zoo Bingo Party. Enjoy a zoo-themed bingo game for the whole family (with a prize for each bingo winner), a tasty treat, a drawing for a zoo-themed door prize and create a special Valentine’s Day card for a favorite Zoo animal. Tickets must be purchased in advance and seating is limited. Parties run from 10 am – 11:30 and again from 1 pm –
2:30 pm.

Visit with the Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny is returning to Roger Williams Park Zoo, and he’s inviting you to join him for a meet-and-greet. Ticket price includes Zoo admission, a photo with the Easter Bunny, and decorate your own Easter basket craft. Visits will be held from 10 am – 11:30 am and 1 pm – 2:30 pm. Egg Hunt Safari

Bring the whole family to enjoy a traditional egg hunt in a very different setting! Start the day with a fun egg hunt in the “wild” and stay the day for a wonderful spring visit with the animals. Egg hunt activity begins on the hour and half hour from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm and is free with regular Zoo admission. Every egg hunter will receive a prize. Special area provided for toddlers.

They are pink, but only when they eat the food which turns them pink.  Join us at the zoo and learn about the different things flamingos eat to turn pink.  Pre-registration is required.

Party for the Planet:
Conservation Week & Earth Day Celebration

Have fun and learn how to live “green” at the Zoo’s week-long Party for the Planet! Each activity-packed day will focus on a different theme, from ways to have fun outdoors to “fun on the farm,” environmental art and more. The week culminates with a large Earth Day celebration and environmental fair featuring displays and activities hosted by green organizations from around Rhode Island. Activities run from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and are free with regular Zoo admission.

Father’s Day Fun at the Zoo

Zoobilee: Feast with the Beasts

Come enjoy an adults-only evening event and have a wild time while supporting the Zoo! Our largest annual fundraising bash offers partygoers the chance to roam the Zoo and sample specialties from dozens of the area's best restaurants, caterers, and bars while enjoying musical entertainment, dancing, a "wildly" unique raffle and silent auction and more. All proceeds help support the Zoo's education and wildlife conservation programs. Find out more...

Family Snore & Roar: Stayin' Alive

Bring the whole family (ages 7 - adult) for an overnight at the Zoo!  This exciting family adventure includes dinner, a night hike, activities, program animal encounters and a light breakfast.  The theme for the night: "Stayin' Alive." Many animals in the food chain have developed amazing adaptations that keep them from becoming the next item on the menu.  Some have clever camouflage, some have built in armor and others even sacrifice body parts.  This overnight will dive into these defenses and more in a fun filled night at the Zoo. Members' Nights

A special evening exclusively for members of Roger Williams Park Zoo!  All Zoo members are invited to enjoy the exhibits along with a picnic, music, special presentations and more.  Members will receive an invitation in the mail and must RSVP to attend.  Not a member?  Join the Zoo by mid-July and you, too, will receive an invitation to join the party!

Family Snore & Roar: Most Extreme at RWP Zoo

Day of Honor

We salute the men and women who serve our nation and communities with this special Day of Honor - veterans and members of our armed forces as well as active and retired police, fire and ambulance personnel and emergency responders will enjoy free admission (identification of active or retired status must be shown to receive free admission).  From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will also be a variety of special activities, animal encounters, live music and other entertainment for all Zoo visitors to enjoy.

Teacher Appreciation Day

Calling all teachers - head to the Zoo for a “wild” day just for you!  Come explore all the education resources available at the Zoo, with free admission for teachers and half-priced admission for up to three guests (must show a registration confirmation page and teacher ID or pay stub to be granted the discount).  Special activities include demonstrations of Zoo education programs, animal encounters, entertainment, refreshments and giveaways.  Pre-registration is required.

Jack O’ Lantern Spectacular

The now-famous Jack O’ Lantern Spectacular returns to Roger Williams Park Zoo with all the “gourd-ly” grandeur that visitors have come to expect. See thousands of illuminated pumpkins on display in a woodland setting, hundreds of which are carved with amazing artistry.  Themed groupings depicting everything from children’s favorite stories to pop culture, all brought to life with special lighting and music, make this a family Halloween hotspot that you won’t want to miss!  Open nightly from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. (last entry at 10 p.m.)  $12 adults, $10 seniors (62+), $9 children (3 – 12); children under 3 are free. RWP Zoo members receive a discount on Monday through Thursday nights, when they show a membership card and another form of ID; no other discounts will apply.

Spooky Zoo

Family-friendly Halloween fun!  come Trick-or-treat and enjoy live music and seasonal entertainment including pumpkin carving demonstrations, games, animal encounters, costumed characters, pumpkin
treats for the animals and more. Kids 12 and under who come in costume receive half-priced admission.  Activities run from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and are free with Zoo admission.

Spooky Zoo Deluxe

Make your Spooky Zoo experience even more spooktacular with a truly “wild” Halloween party.  Party runs 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and includes treats and a special Halloween magic show!  Advanced ticket purchase is required; tickets will not be sold on the day of the event.  Seating is limited.  Call 401-785-3510 x343 or 401-941-4998 to purchase tickets.

Charity Coat Drive

Roger Williams Park Zoo is partnering with the Buy Nothing Day Coalition to collect new or gently used coats to donate to those in need.  Those who donate a coat will receive half-priced admission to the Zoo for the day (for up to four people in their party).  Both children’s and adults’ coats will be accepted; extra large coats are in particular demand.  The coats will be distributed to those in need on the State House lawn and various locations around the state on the day after Thanksgiving, through the Buy Nothing Day Coalition’s 13th annual Winter Coat Exchange.

Santa’s Arrival & Holiday Parade

Usher in the holiday season with the Jolly Old Elf himself at Roger Williams Park Zoo.  See Santa arrive by helicopter in grand style, then take part in a festive holiday parade, see the animals receive some “gifts” of their own and enjoy a number of other activities that’ll get the whole family glowing with holiday cheer.  Activities are free with regular Zoo admission.

Visit with Santa

Celebrate the holiday season in wild style at the Zoo.  Meet the Jolly Old Elf himself while enjoying a hearty breakfast buffet or afternoon cookies and milk with a variety of activities for the whole family.  A photo with Santa for each child and admission to the Zoo for the day are included.  Tickets must be purchased in advance either at the ticket window or by calling 401-941-4998, or 401-785-23510 ext 343.
